The Madeline Island Yacht Club was established in 1977 by a group of boat enthusiasts who wanted to create a peaceful, tranquil marina on Lake Superior and the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. The club is non-profit and is run by its 140 members, who own the facilities and direct the operations through their elected board of directors. The Madeline Island Yacht Club offers a range of services, including gasoline, diesel, water, and electrical hookups.
In addition to the basic services, the Madeline Island Yacht Club also offers a range of amenities, including maintenance facilities, a ship store, dry storage, wireless internet, a pumpout station, restrooms, showers, ice, a launch ramp, groceries, a dog park, oil recycling, winter storage, a travel lift, an ATM, and a captain's lounge. These amenities are available to members and guests of the club.
